Dallas M/S Mom May Have Staged Attacks

"DALLAS, TX - A mother and her two young children were found shot to death Friday, possibly by the mother who may have also staged a series of attacks on the family over the last two weeks, police said.

"No official ruling on the deaths has been made. 'We are still waiting for tests to come back to determine if it was in fact a murder/suicide,' Dallas police spokesman Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse said.

"Police said there were at least three disturbance calls involving the dead woman since Dec. 6, when she reported that a gun-wielding man stole her purse and laptop computer outside the real-estate office where she worked with her husband.

"Officers had visited the home twice within the past week, responding to a reported home invasion, assault and kidnapping.

"'We are looking to determine whether or not they were valid offenses and whether they occurred the way they were reported,' Miller said.

"On Dec. 13, 51-year-old Frank Geis was interviewed by police after he was apparently assaulted in his home, according to police reports obtained by The Dallas Morning News. His wife told police that two men dressed in black and wearing ski masks and gloves burst into the home around 8:30 a.m. She said they beat her husband with a hammer on the right side of his head.

"Jeanmarie Geis said that after the assault on her husband, she was kidnapped by the two men. She told police the men tied her up with duct tape and taped her eyes shut.

"Later, the men put her in a car and tried to sexually assault her. She told police that when she resisted, they pushed her out of the car and fled the scene, according to police reports.

"The next day, she was in her driveway when a man approached her, put a gun to her head and forced her into a car, according to police reports. He made her remove her shirt and rubbed the barrel of the gun across her face, she told police. The man then told her, 'You're going to be mine.'

"Jeanmarie Geis also told police that the man said, 'This is for what your sweet daddy did to my family.' The woman was the daughter of the late state District Judge Mark Tolle, who presided over some high-profile criminal trials in Dallas.

"According to the police reports, Geis escaped from the car. The man chased her and pinned her to the ground but fled again when a nearby garage door opened."

"Pedrozo said that Casan, 32, went to Manila from Iligan city in northern Mindanao with her five-year-old son to confirm rumors that her husband, Bolanting Casan, was cheating on her and was keeping a mistress in Manila. Police said the victims were also planning on spending the Christmas with Bolanting in Manila.

Who Shot Who?

"Harrisonburg, VA - The shooting last week on Old Furnace Road appears to be an attempted murder-suicide, according to an affidavit used to get multiple search warrants issued in the case. The shooting claimed the life of one man and seriously injured another.

"In the early morning hours of Dec. 11, Harrisonburg police officers responded to a shooting call at 1056 Old Furnace Road. After arriving, police found two people lying on the kitchen floor, according to the affidavit. The apartment's owner, who isn't identified, sustained multiple gunshot wounds. According to the affidavit, the second person, 'believed to be the suspect based on preliminary interviews,' was found with a gunshot wound to the head, which was 'consistent with being self inflicted.'

"The man who died about 12 hours after the shooting has been identified by police as Brian Wickliff, 47, of Harrisonburg. But police won't say whether they believe he or the wounded man, who police have not identified, was the shooter in the case. The wounded individual remains at the University of Virginia Medical Center in critical condition, according to the last update from police.

"The affidavit states that the home's front window was forcibly entered.

"In a search of the home, police seized several items, including shell casings and a bullet that was removed from a wall.

"During the search of the parking lot, police located a red Mitsubishi Eclipse, which was traced back to a resident at 95 Perry St. in Harrisonburg. Police believe that resident was the shooter, according to the affidavit."

Indian Actress UPDATE

"The murder of Telugu actress Bhargavi has opened up a pandora's box. With fresh evidences and information, the police have been unravelling the murder mystery. Actress Bhargavi was found dead along with an associate Praveen, in her apartment in Banjara Hills in Hyderabad on Tuesday under suspicious circumstances. First hand evidences showed that she was stabbed to death by Praveen, who later committed suicide by consuming soft drink mixed with cyanide.

"Investigations have shown that deep cuts in the lungs and chest led to her death, though there were many other wounds on the rest of her body. Though the police had earlier ruled out any struggle, the latest reports show that Bhargavi, who was not willing to commit suicide was stabbed to death by Praveen in rapid succession. Praveen's suicide note reveals that Bhargavi's refusal to get back to Praveen ever since they have been staying separately for some months had triggered the whole incident."
