"SAN DIEGO, CA — San Diego Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide attempt in North Park.

"It was reported shortly after 9 a.m. Monday in an apartment in the 3700 block of Grimm Avenue.

"Early reports indicate a female was stabbed and died after authorities arrived.

"A male has been taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound."

Bodies Found In Shed

"NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA — Sacramento Sheriff's deputies are investigating the deaths of two people in North Highlands as a murder-suicide.

"Investigators are on the scene of a home on the 5800 block of Rosario Boulevard near McClellan Air Force Base where they found the bodies of a man and woman inside a shed.

"Sgt. Tim Curran says both suffered gun shot wounds.

"Neighbors called the Sheriff's department at about 7:30 p.m. after finding the bodies inside the outbuilding where the man lived.

"He had not been seen since Friday. Investigators also found a gun inside the shed.

"The names of the man and woman are not being released until family is notified.

"Deputies believe the two were romantically involved, but have no clear motive."

"Isolated Incident" May Be Murder/Suicide

"LOUISVILLE, KY — Louisville Metro Police are investigating a homicide after a husband and wife were found dead inside their Lyndon home Sunday morning. Police say a relative found the couple in their home on 51112 Silverton Lane. Police don't believe the community should be alarmed; indicating right now they think this is an isolated incident.

"Police arrived to a home off Brownsboro Road around 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Inside, they found a married couple dead.

"`Right now we have our evidence technicians on the scene. We are also talking to neighbors, as well as the relative who called in the initial call to police,` said LMPD's Alicia Smiley.

"Police say there was no sign of forced entry or property damage to the home. Both Police and neighbors say homicides aren't common for this neighborhood. `I can't say really offhand any incidents we've had out in this area. You might have your criminal mischief, that type of thing, but as far as any serious crime, I don't believe this is an area we tend to frequent,` added Smiley."

Bodies Found Miles Apart

"LAS VEGAS, NV — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a possible murder-suicide after a body of a deceased individual was found early Saturday morning.

"The body was discovered in a desert area near Pebble and Spencer around 5:00am Saturday morning. After arriving on scene and investigating the circumstances Metro determined it to be a homicide.

"After spending several hours investigating the homicide Metro had identified a possible suspect and during their search was able to locate his vehicle in the 8300 block of Bonnie Springs Rd which is just off of SR 159 less than a mile south of Spring Mountain Ranch State Park.

"Once officers were able to get closer to the vehicle they were able to see that the suspect was deceased with what looked to be self inflicted gun shot wounds.

"Metro Homicide Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this possible murder-suicide."

Unidentified Bodies Found By SWAT Team

"KILLEEN, TX — A two and a half hour standoff has ended in Killeen with a couple dead in an apparent murder suicide.

"Police say both the man and the woman were suffering from gunshot wounds.

"Police were called out to the 4300 block of Mildred just before 1:30p.m. Saturday afternoon on reports of shots being fired.

"The police SWAT team entered the home's garage just before 4p.m. after attempting to contact someone inside.

"They found a woman inside the garage shot to death, and found the man's body inside the home not long after.

"The couple has not been identified, but police do believe this was a murder suicide.

"On Friday, police were called out to the same location for a man threatening suicide.

"Iduma Elementary School, at 4400 Foster Lane, was locked down as a precaution for almost an hour just before lunch after officers and an ambulance were sent to the man's home, just a couple of blocks away from the school.

"The suicidal person never was a threat to the school campus or the students, but the school principal imposed the lock down just to be safe.

"A spokesperson for Killeen police said officers were not aware of the lock down until after the incident had ended."
