One Dead At Scene, One In Stable Condition

"FORT WORTH, TX — Police are investigating two shootings in far south Fort Worth.

"The emergency call came shortly after 11 p.m. Friday from the 2200 block of Shane Avenue, where a woman was dead at the Sycamore Pointe Apartments.

"A man was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was last reported to be in stable condition.

"Investigators said a 911 call characterized the gunfire as an attempted murder and suicide.

"Police said the two people have a child together; their names have not been released."
