"BEVERLY HILLS, CA - A man and his wife were found dead Tuesday afternoon in their Beverly Hills home in an apparent murder-suicide, police said.

"The bodies were found by officers about 1:30 p.m. in the 400 block of South Swall Drive, the Beverly Hills Police Department said. The officers were responding to a `welfare check` in the neighborhood near Olympic Boulevard.

"`All indications are showing that this couple were the victims of a murder-suicide,` Sgt. Renato Moreno said. `There is no threat to the community.`

"Detectives were still at the home Tuesday evening and had not determined what sparked the violence, police said. The names of the victims have yet to be released pending notification of relatives."

Brothers Dead In Family Dispute

"WINSTON-SALEM, NC - A 25-year veteran of the city of Winston-Salem inspections division was shot dead Tuesday afternoon by his brother, who then turned the gun on himself, Winston-Salem police said.

"Police said the call came in at 1:06 p.m. that someone had been shot along Northwest Boulevard. When police arrived, officers found one of the men on the sidewalk and the other on steps leading into a yard. Police said a gun was discovered near one of the bodies.

"The city employee was identified as 59-year-old Randy Buchanan, who was working along Northwest Boulevard. His brother was identified by police as Tony Guy Buchanan, 50, of Mocksville.

"Police said a family dispute led to the shooting, but details weren't disclosed."

Crash Reveals Murder/Suicide

"FORT WORTH, TX - Fort Worth police are investigating what they believe is a murder-suicide Tuesday in east Fort Worth.

"The body of woman with a gunshot wound to the head was found about 10:30 a.m. inside a 2005 Chevrolet that had crashed into a utility pole on the East Loop 820 access road near the John T. White Road and Bridge Street exit, police said.

"Police said she had been southbound on the access road when she apparently was shot.
The scene was near the intersection with Boca Raton Boulevard.

"At about the same time, a police officer noticed a Ford Explorer speeding nearby and attempted to pull the vehicle over on a traffic stop. The Explorer pulled into an Albertson's parking lot in the 800 block of East Loop 820 and police said the officer saw the man shoot himself.

"Police said they believe the two shootings are connected."

Kids Are The Victims In Double Murder/Suicide

"JACKSON COUNTY, GA - Jackson County investigators were on the scene of what they said appeared to be a double murder -suicide involving children Monday night.

"Neighbors said it appeared that Keith Gresham shot is 7-year-old and 4-year-old sons, before turning the gun on himself.

"The shooting happened on Old Woods Bridge Road in Jackson County.

"The 7-year-old's grandmother said she usually cares for the child when he gets off the bus, but he didn't get off the bus.

"Witnesses said they heard three gunshots earlier in the day, but it was unclear what time they heard the shots.

"The shooting remains under investigation."

Couple Had Been Dead For Days

"SEATTLE, WA - A man and woman were found dead Monday afternoon in what police described as a murder-suicide.

"The bodies had stayed for days in Unit 11 of the Way West Motel at 8600 Aurora Ave. N. Neighbors had noticed the smell, and were shocked to hear of the deaths.

"Police spokesman Mark Jamieson said it was not immediately clear how long the couple had been in the unit or who was the shooter.

"At 12:24 p.m., police received a call from the motel manager saying he'd found the two dead. The man was found on the couch.

"Police say the area is known for drug activity and prostitution, though last October, the manager of the Way West insisted ... that drug activity does not happen at the motel."
