Attempted Murder/Suicide On Highway

"GRAND PRAIRIE, LA — The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating what appears to be a murder and attempted suicide near Washington, Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said.

"`We’re still under investigation right now,` Guidroz said. `We can confirm one dead and one injured.`

"A woman is dead, and an injured male is being transported to a local hospital, Guidroz said. The relationship between the two is unknown.

"The apparent homicide happened at 1:30 p.m. on La. 103 just north of Arlington Road, between Grand Prairie and Washington, Guidroz said."
