Two Dead In Restaurant Shooting

"LEESVILLE, SC — A man and a woman were shot to death Monday in a murder-suicide in Batesburg-Leesville in western Lexington County, according to the Lexington County Coroner's office.

"The victims were identified as Shaquanah Jones-Brannon, 30, and Jamael R. Goodman, 27, both of Batesburg-Leesville, coroner Harry Harman said.

"The shootings took place at the China One restaurant, 245 W. Columbia Ave.

"According to to Harman, Jones-Brannon was shot by her boyfriend, Goodman, while she was working at the restaurant. Goodman then turned the gun on himself, he said.

"Both parties were transported to Lexington Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead, Harman said. Autopsies will be performed Tuesday.

"The incident is under investigation by the Coroner’s Office and the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department."
