Police Find Man And Girl Dead In Home

"ROCHESTER, MNA 49-year-old man is believed to have shot and killed a 9-year-old girl before turning the gun on himself in an apparent murder/suicide in Rochester, Minn., on Sunday, police said.

"Officers discovered the bodies after receiving reports at 4:02 p.m. of shooting victims inside a home on 4553 5th Street NW.

"Authorities said that the general public was not at risk.

"`The incident is believed to have been entirely contained within the residence,` police said in a statement.

"Police did not provide details Sunday night about the relationship between the man and the girl.

"The investigation was continuing."
