"AUBURNDALE, FL — Polk County deputies are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Auburndale.
"The two adults were discovered by deputies at 8:15 p.m. Thursday night at a home at 1456 Jeans Road, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
"Both were dead from gunshot wounds and had been deceased for at least a day, officials said.
"Deputies had to force their way into the locked house, which is located just west of Lake Van.
"Deputies are withholding their names until their next of kin can be notified."
