Police Suspect Murder/Suicide

"FAYETTEVILLE, NC — Cumberland County sheriff's deputies believe a man killed a woman at his home off Doc Bennett Road then shot himself on a nearby bridge over Interstate 95.

"The suspected murder-suicide happened early this morning, according to a Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.

"The body of 23-year-old Allisha Michelle Cherry, of the 4300 block of Spinel Drive, was found around 5 a.m. at 610 Hollins Drive, a neighborhood adjacent to Fayetteville Regional Airport.

"Shortly after, deputies responded to a call of a shooting along Doc Bennett Road at the bridge over Interstate 95, where they found 23-year old Brandon Coleman dead.

"Further details aren't immediately available."
