Co-Worker Finds Bodies
"HAVANA, FL — The two deceased persons located at 616 Hidden Valley Trail in Havana, Florida are identified as 57-year-old Patti Lewis Brinson and 53-year-old Wendell Glen Shores, according to the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office.
"Inv. Ulysses Jenkins with the sheriff's office says that the residence where Brinson’s co-worker found the bodies belonged to Brinson.
"The two died of apparent gunshot wounds according to preliminary results of the autopsy.
"Brinson and Shores were involved in a relationship at one point. Brinson had broken off the relationship sometime earlier, but evidence shows that the two had some recent contact with one another.
"Inv. Jenkins says the family of Brinson states they were unhappy with the relationship Brinson and Shores shared.
"The crime scenes was 616 Hidden Valley Trail in Havana and 470 Merritt Lane, also located in Havana, Florida. The first home was where the body was found. Shore's family tried to enter the second home, making that location a crime scene. Deputies found evidence in that Merrit Lane home as well.
"After the autopsy, officials are ruling the case a murder-suicide , with Shores shooting Brinson before turning the gun on himself, rather than a double homicide."

if anyone is ever to read this I just want them to know that my name is Stephen glen shores, the son of wendall glen shores, and I miss my dad very much and I just wish that he would have made better decisions on april 11, 2012, and I am very sorry to the family of patti Brinson and I wish that I would of called my dad the night he did this, I held the phone in my hand and told myself that I would call him the next day, I am very sorry that I did not and because of my procrastination my father and ms. patti Brinson are now dead, it has been 4 yrs and I still hurt every day, I wish that everyone would not think of my father as such a horrible monster and that they know that sometimes in life people sometimes make a mistake that they cannot take back and this was one of them, fathers day is 3 days away and I want nothing more than to just hear his voice one more time, I used to call his phone just to hear his voicemail, I miss you so much daddy and I love you thank you for always knowing that I really was your son
