Shooter's Body Found In Car At Storage Unit

"ALEXANDRIA, MN — After two people were found dead last week in Douglas County, authorities ruled the incident a murder-suicide.

"Deputies said 38-year-old Sharon Love was attacked and killed by her ex-boyfriend David Everett, of rural Osakis, at her apartment on Eckert Street in Alexandria. Deputies said the two had been living together and their relationship was ending.

"Everett killed Love when he came to her home to pick up his belongings, according to authorities. Her body was found by her landlord around 3:30 p.m. April 19 and officials were called to the scene.

"After deputies arrived, the search for 51-year-old Everett began who was last seen leaving her house at 5:45 p.m. April 18 in the victim’s car, a Pontiac Grand Am.

"Love's car was found April 20 at the Westside Storage unit in Osakis with Everett's body inside. Police say the suspect committed suicide.

"The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are still investigating the murder-suicide. No other suspects are being pursued.

"Deputies have not yet released how Love or Everett were killed."
