Bodies Found After Neighbors Report Hearing Gunshots
"SAN JOSE, CA — Two men were found shot and killed in a San Jose townhouse Monday afternoon after neighbors heard gunshots there the night prior.
"The bodies were discovered by someone who came to the home near the intersection of Cherryview Lane and Marlene Court Monday afternoon and police were called at 3:28 p.m., police Officer Albert Morales said.
"The two men knew each other and their bodies were found together but police are still trying to determine their relationship. Only one of them lived in the townhouse where they were discovered, police said.
"`I have information that the decedents did know each other,` Morales said. `So there was some sort of relationship there. They are not strangers to one another.`
"San Jose police said everyone involved in the shooting was inside the home.
"The man who lived at the townhouse is described as friendly, a father of two girls, and always asking if he could help.
"`We’ve been here for 30 years in the same neighborhood,` neighbor Christine Moreland said. `We become neighbors. We become family.`
"While investigators are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting, there is no indication that there is a suspect at large, Morales said."
