Preliminary Investigation Points To Murder/Suicide
"NEWARK, NJ — Alberto Fermin-Alomar fatally shot his 46-year-old wife in their Newark home Saturday afternoon, before turning the gun on himself, authorities said.
"The bodies of Fermin-Alomar, 52, and wife Ana Luisa Peralta De Fermin were discovered with apparent gunshot wounds in their Lincoln Avenue home around 6 p.m. Saturday, according to acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Newark Police Director Sheilah Coley.
"A preliminary investigation determined Fermin-Alomar shot his wife, then shot himself. Detectives did not release any additional details, and the investigation is ongoing, according to Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Fennelly of the Prosecutor's Homicide Unit."
