Motive Unknown, Autopsy Reports Pending

"CHANDLER, AZ — Chandler police are continuing to investigate the possible motives of the murder/suicide last weekend of a couple in their 50s, according to a police spokesman.

"Chandler police responded Friday night to the murder/suicide on West Ray Road, according to Sergeant Joe Favazzo, a department spokesman.

"Initial evidence led investigators to believe that Victor Rodarte, 57, stabbed and killed his wife, Irma Alonso, 56, and then shot himself, Favazzo said.

"Autopsy results regarding Rodarte and Alonso are pending, Favazzo said."
