2 Kids & 2 Adults Found Dead During Welfare Check
"JOHNS CREEK, GA — Police are investigating the slayings of two children and two adults found dead Monday as an apparent murder-suicide.
"Authorities found the bodies of a man, woman and two children—believed to be 10 and 5 years old—in a Johns Creek apartment Monday morning, said city spokeswoman Rosemary Taylor. The slayings are the first recorded in Johns Creek since it was incorporated in 2006, Taylor said.
"It was unclear Monday evening how long the people had been dead. Their identities and causes of death were not immediately released.
"A co-worker of the slain woman called police and requested a welfare check when she did not show up for work, Taylor said. Police responded to the ground-floor apartment on Abbot's Bridge Road around 11:30 a.m. and found the bodies.
"`We are currently investigating the incident as a possible murder-suicide,` Police Chief Ed Densmore said in a release, `but the investigation is ongoing and no definite answers are known as this time.`
"Taylor said the apartment showed no signs of forced entry."
