Suspect, Ex-Girlfriend Found Dead In Home

"UTICA, NY — Police in Utica say a man sought for shooting an ex-girlfriend earlier this week has been found dead along with another woman who was also a former girlfriend.

"Authorities tell local media outlets Thursday that 37-year-old Jerry McNair and 36-year-old Petra Gonzalez died of gunshot wounds in what they believe was a murder/suicide.

"Police had surrounded a home in Utica on Wednesday after being told McNair was in the building. When they entered the home later that night, officers found the bodies on the second floor.

"Investigators had been seeking McNair since Tuesday, when his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the head. Information on her condition isn't being released."
