Dogs, Cats, & Horses Roam Scene of The Crime

"ELLENBURG, NY — State Police believe Larry C. Williamson killed his wife, Pamela, then killed himself.

"`That’s how it appears right now,` Lt. John Coryea of the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation told the Press-Republican on Sunday.

"At about 8 p.m. Saturday, the couple's bodies were discovered by police inside their Ellenburg home at 1568 Bradley Pond Road.

"A trooper responded to the location after a concerned relative of Mrs. Williamson asked police to check on her welfare, authorities said.

"On Sunday, State Police Troop B Bureau of Criminal Investigation Capt. Robert LaFountain that he could not say at that point when the deaths took place.

"`We are in the process of trying to determine a timeline,` he said.

"A State Police vehicle and yellow police tape blocked the entrance to the driveway of the Williamson home Sunday afternoon.

"Horses grazed in fenced-in, grassy enclosures on each side of the white house, while at least one additional horse could be seen in a barn just behind the home.

"Coryea said he couldn't say for sure whether the animals belonged to the Williamsons.

"`They could have been housing them for somebody else,` he said. `Our investigators are looking into that.`

"Numerous cats roamed the property.

"Inside the home were dogs, as well, which were removed by dog control officers from both Ellenburg and Mooers, according to Coryea.

"More information would be released following the completion of the autopsies and as details surrounding the deaths come into focus, he said."
