No One Knows What Goes On Behind Locked Doors

"ROWLETT, TX — Two people were found shot to death in a home in Rowlett over the weekend. Police are now treating the case as a murder/suicide.

"Officers were called to the home in the 5600 block of Luna Drive around 1:30 p.m. Sunday by a concerned relative.

"`The gentleman that lives there was supposed to attend a ball game of his son yesterday. He didn’t show up for the ball game. His mother tried to get in contact with him and she wasn’t able to get him by the phone. She came over here to the house today to try to get a hold of him and he didn’t answer the door. She walked around the back of the house and saw the deceased female through the rear door,` said Lt. David Nabors of the Rowlett Police Department.

"The victims were identified as 35-year-old Brandon McClain and his ex-girlfriend, 30-year-old Amanda Todhunter.

"Police are treating the case as a murder/suicide because the doors were locked on the inside and there were no signs of forced entry. They also found a weapon near the crime scene.

"It is still unclear who shot whom, Lt. Nabors said.

"Over the past few months police have responded to two 911 called from the home. In February Todhunter reported a domestic incident, but declined to press charges. Then in May McClain claimed his ex-girlfriend had a gun and was suicidal. She was not home when police arrived.

"McClain had two children and Todhunter had two others. No children were home at the time of the deadly shootings."
