Argument At Party Leaves Two Dead
"DALLAS, TX — A man fatally shot his wife, then himself during an argument at a family gathering near Dallas Executive Airport, police said.
"The man was dropping his children off with his wife at a relative’s house in the 6500 block of Maryibel Circle, according to police. A neighbor down the street said the house hosted a raucous drinking party nearly every Sunday.
"The neighbor, who didn’t want his name printed due to safety concerns, said he heard the couple and several others arguing in the street about 6:40 p.m. He looked out his window and saw the man `pointing something` at the woman.
"The neighbor heard at least three gunshots in quick succession. His security camera recorded other people from the gathering running frantically through the street.
"In Spanish, people screamed: `Oh my god, she’s dead,` and `don’t let him leave,` the neighbor said.
"He said the man threatened witnesses in the street with the gun for about a minute before shooting himself.
"Police said the couple died at the scene. Their names were not released late Sunday, and police taped off most of the block around the bodies."
