Killer Drops Off Kids Before Shooting Himself

"DREXEL HILL, PA — A multi-state manhunt for a suspect who allegedly killed his wife before kidnapping her children, ended Thursday in Staten Island where the boys were discovered safe and the suspect dead.

"Before the fatal chain of events police say 31-year-old Keith Belajonas left an eerie message on Facebook.

"Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood says Belajonas `posted on Facebook that he had an argument with his (wife), she was cheating on him ... and he won the argument.`

"Keith’s wife, 28-year-old Christina Belajonas was found in the family’s Pennsylvania home, dead after a gun shot wound to the head and multiple stab wounds.

"The lifeless body of Keith Belajonas, was found in a car near Bartlett and Katan avenues at about 8 a.m., police said.

Belajonas had been the subject of an Amber Alert first issued in Pennsylvania after he snatched two boys—between ages 4 and 7—about 3 a.m. Thursday from a home on 251 Abbey Terrace in Drexel Hill.

"The children were found safe about 6 a.m. at a CVS in Staten Island, but Belajonas was not with them, authorities said.

"Soon after, he was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound though it was not immediately known if it was self-inflicted."
