"GILBERT, AZ – A woman and her boyfriend were found dead on the Fourth of July in what could be a murder suicide.
"Police in Gilbert were called to the Hampton Inn at 3265 S. Market Street on July 4 at about 1:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found 32-year-old Cynthia Townley dead from a gunshot wound.
"The investigation led officers to a home in the area near Queen Creek and Cooper Road in Chandler. Officers discovered Townley’s 36-year-old boyfriend dead in the backyard of his house on Monday morning. He died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
"Staff at the Hampton Inn called police when a housekeeper found Townley’s body in one of the rooms. Police have determined she was a victim of homicide.
"Police say Townley and her boyfriend checked into the hotel room about one week ago.
"Detectives say Townley was killed between the night of July 3 and the afternoon of July 4.
"The boyfriend’s name will not be released by police until they can notify his family. This investigation remains ongoing."From

"NEWPORT NEWS, VA — Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that occurred just before 9 p.m., Sunday on Water's Edge Drive.
"Police were called around 8:50 p.m., July 4, after shots rang out in the 500 block of Water's Edge Drive, said Harold Eley, a Newport News police spokesman. When officers arrived, they found two victims dead of gunshots wounds, Eley said.
"The body of Jasmine Williams, 22, was found lying in the outdoor, ground-level foyer of another apartment in the complex where she lived. The body of 26-year-old Mark Adoremos, of the 100 block of Delmar Lane in Newport News, was found on the second level. A handgun was found next to his body, Eley said.
"Witnesses told police that Williams and Adoremos were ending a romantic relationship, Eley said. A preliminary investigation showed Williams was leaving the apartment of a friend living in the same complex when shots were fired in the second story foyer.
"Evidence suggests Adoremos fired multiple shots, striking Williams then turned the weapon on himself. Invesitgators are treating the incident as a murder-suicide, Eley said. The investigation is ongoing."From the

"DETROIT, MI - A 15-year-old girl is in critical condition after being shot by her mother, who then shot and killed herself, on Detroit’s east side Saturday afternoon.
"Detroit Police Sgt. Eren Stephens said the 53-year-old woman was suffering from cancer and had been suicidal.
"The shooting occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the family’s home in the 11500 block of College at Gunston.
"No one else was injured, but it was unclear if others were in the home. Stephens said the teen was taken to the hospital.

"ELMHURST, IL - Elmhurst police believe a man shot and wounded his estranged wife at her home in the western suburb this morning before killing himself.
"Shortly after 7 a.m., police responded to a shooting in the 700 block of South Hillside Avenue and found a 52-year-old woman shot in her face.
"Hani A. Hennein, the woman's estranged husband, was dead on the scene of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
"Julia M. Hennein, was takento Loyola University Hospital in Maywood, where she was undergoing surgery.
