Multi-State Murder/Suicide
"REHOBOTH, MA — A man accused of fatally stabbing his wife in New Hampshire was found dead Thursday in Rehoboth, the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office said.
"Rehoboth police discovered the body of Binh Vernet, 48, of Londonderry, N.H. in a wooded area, the attorney general’s office said.
"Residents called Rehoboth police after they noticed a suspicious van in the woods near Simmons and Reservoir streets. Police said they found blood inside the vehicle.
"Police said search dogs led investigators into the woods, where they found Binh Vernet’s body.
"Police said they believe Binh Vernet fled in the van after his wife, 46-year-old Suzanne Vernet, was stabbed Wednesday night at his home in New Hampshire.
"Londonderry police said she was critically injured and flown to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She later died on Thursday.
"The attorney general’s office said that a medical examiner will perform autopsies on Suzanne and Binh Vernet to determine the exact causes of death."
