No More Christmas Cookies

"LINCOLN, NE - Lincoln authorities believe an 83-year-old man shot and killed his 82-year-old wife before killing himself in their home.

"Lincoln Police Capt. David Beggs says the bodies of Dale and Roberta Jones were discovered Monday by a family member and a home health care worker.

"Investigators believe Dale Jones used a handgun to kill his wife and himself. Police say medical and financial issues may have played a role in the shooting, but police did not say what those issues were.

"Neighbor Abby Hall says Dale Jones had recently had some health issues.

"Hall says the couple were great neighbors who were always generous with candy at Halloween and cookies at Christmas."
