Argument Leads To Attempted Murder/Suicide
"TAMPA, FL - Tampa Police are investigating a double shooting near Temple Terrace. The shooting happened at around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday.
"One man is dead from a self-inflicted gun shot wound. Police say before Kenneth Mock, 61, took his own life, he shot Jeremy Olmstead, 27, three times.
"Late Wednesday, Olmstead was in serious, but stable condition at St. Joseph's Hospital.
"Detectives spent several hours at the home in the 4800 block of River Hills Drive. They say the initial call they received was that there was a fight.
"Soon after, police received word of gunfire.
"Investigators said Olmstead found his estranged wife at her home with another man. It's unclear what the relationship is between the wife and the other man. Police say there was an argument, then shots were fired.
"`The husband shot the victim three times: once in the arm, once in the leg, and once in the abdomen. After doing so, he turned the gun on himself and shot himself in the head... he's deceased,` Lt David Goodman said.
"The woman was not hurt. She recently moved to the neighborhood."
