"Distressed Female" Is Shooter In Alabama Murder/Suicide

"HELENA, AL - The Helena Police Department is investigating a murder-suicide that happened just after 5 p.m. on Monday.

"Officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Laurel Woods Lane for a welfare check of a distressed female.

"Officers entered the house and found a female with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.

"They searched the house and found her husband upstairs with a gunshot wound to the torso.

"Both were pronounced dead on the scene.

"This incident is still under investigation."
