2 Dead, 1 Wounded After Thanksgiving Day Argument

"EAST ST. LOUIS, IL — Two people are dead and a third person was injured after a family argument on Thanksgiving day ended with a deadly shooting.

"The shooting happened around 6:00 p.m. in the 700 block of N. 75th Street in East St. Louis.

"Police say the shooting happened after an argument between a husband and wife. Police say that's when the husband pulled out a gun.

"The couple's daughter, who is in her 40's was shot twice, but managed to get out of the home. She was able to call police. Because the police were not sure if the father was alive inside the home, the tactical team was called to respond to the scene. They waited several hours outside of the home before entering the house.

"Once inside, they found the body of the wife on the first floor with a gunshot wound to the head. The husband was found on the second floor from what police believe to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound."
