Two Men Dead In Suspected Love Triangle Murder/Suicide

"LAS VEGAS, NV — Police said a man kicked down the door of the home on the 2000 block of Sunland Wednesday afternoon where a woman was with her boyfriend.

"SWAT was sent to the scene to talk with the man inside the home but before SWAT could arrive, police say the man shot and killed the man inside the home and then shot himself.

"It's believed the shooter was an estranged husband and killed his ex-wife's boyfriend then turned the gun on himself.

"Metro dispatch received calls of shots fired at a residence in the 2000 block of Sunland Avenue on Wednesday at approximately 12:09 p.m.

"The caller said that her estranged husband had arrived with a firearm and kicked in the door of the residence. The mother of three managed to get her small children safely out of the house while she heard shots being fired from within.

"A male acquaintance was unable to escape the residence as shots were being fired.

"LVMPD Officers arrived and set up containment around the residence. SWAT officers subsequently arrived and immediately made entry into the home and discovered two deceased males.

"Preliminary investigation suggest this incident was a murder-suicide."
