Elderly Killer Left Detailed Notes

"OCALA, FL — Two people were found dead inside a Marion County home in what deputies said is a murder/suicide.

"Officials said they were called to a home in the 7700 block of Southwest 117th Street Road in Ocala on Sunday.

"Bronwyn Wilcox, 80, was found dead in the kitchen area of the home, deputies said. A broken ceramic container was found on the tile floor beside Wilcox's feet.

"Several notes were found on the kitchen counter advising someone to cancel the insurance and similar items, as well as a telephone number with Wilcox's next of kin, according to a report.

"Authorities said Harold Wilcox, 80, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the master bathroom. In front of the shower was a living will and his next of kin contact.

"Deputies said friends of the couple called authorities after they found a box at their home when from returned from church.

"According to a report, the box was addressed to the Wilcox's son, David, and contained a note and a key. The note said that Harold Wilcox had shot himself inside the home, the friends told deputies.

"The friends then went to the Wilcox home where they found them both dead and called authorities."
