Cancer Treatment May Have Pushed Man Over The Edge
"WELLBORN, AL — Calhoun County officials are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in which they say a 50-year-old Wellborn man shot his wife to death before turning the gun on himself.
"The Anniston Star reports that those killed in the shootings early Sunday are identified as Thomas Dee Hart, a construction worker, and his wife of nearly 23 years, 41-year-old Wendy Ramsey Hart.
"Thomas Hart's sister, Debbie Brimer, says she believes her brother's judgment was affected by cancer and the medication and radiation treatments he'd been undergoing.
"Police say the shots were fired sometime between midnight and about 8:30 a.m. Sunday, when one of the couple's six children found the bodies sprawled on the kitchen floor."
