Police Find Two Dead In Virginia
"FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA - A man and a woman were found dead in their Fairfax County home Monday afternoon, and police are investigating the case as a possible murder-suicide.
"Fairfax police said they were called to a townhouse in the 8400 block of Springfield Oaks Drive about 1 p.m. for a report of a `shot person,` Officer Tawny Wright said. The neighborhood is in south Springfield, just north of Interstate 95 near Rolling Road.
"Responding officers found two people dead, Wright said: a 66-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman. Their names were not immediately released pending notification of family members.
"Both the man and the woman appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds to the upper body, Wright said, and a handgun was found nearby. Police had no details on who might have fired the weapon.
"Wright said the early investigation indicated that the shootings were `domestically related.`
"No official cause of death will be released until an autopsy is performed Tuesday morning, officials said."
