Bodies Found After Suspicious Fire

"PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - Prescott Valley police have released the initial results of the autopsy on two people killed in a suspicious house fire on Wednesday and have determined it was a murder-suicide.

"The female victim suffered gunshot wounds to the head and they are ruling the manner of her death a homicide.

"The deceased male died of a shotgun wound to the head in what appears to be a suicide.

"The victims have not been formally identified and there is no time-table for when the identifications will be complete.

"Police are calling this a murder-suicide and are not looking for any outstanding suspects in the case.

"Investigators ruled on Thursday that an accelerant was used in the fire.

"Investigators had treated the fire as suspicious from the beginning.

"`We're going to treat it as a worst-case scenario until we can prove otherwise,` said Sgt. Brandon Bonney of the Prescott Valley Police Department at the scene on Wednesday. `They don't have any easily explainable cause of the fire right now.`"
