Mother And Daughter Found Dead
"LUBBOCK, TX - A welfare check by a deputy sheriff at a house in west Lubbock County led to the discovery of the bodies of a woman and a girl who’s believed to be the woman’s 12-year-old daughter.
"Interim Lubbock County Sheriff Kelly Rowe said both had gunshot wounds.
"Autopsies were ordered.
"Deputies located the bodies at around 5:30 p.m. Monday after relatives called authorities.
"A news release said the deputies looked through a window of the home and saw one person lying on a bed.
"Rowe said his office is conducting a homicide investigation and murder-suicide has not been ruled out.
"The sheriff did not immediately release names of the pair, pending autopsy results.
"Rowe said it appeared that the two had been dead for several days.
"Investigators found no sign of forced entry.
"Both bodies were found in the same room."
