Fatal Dispute Between Renter & Homeowner

"HOUSTON, TX - Houston police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide shooting early this morning in west Houston.

"The shooting occurred in the 14000 block of Britoak about 4 a.m.

"Police said a homeowner arrived early this morning at his rental house. Officials said that after an altercation, the homeowner shot the tenant, who was rushed to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he later died.

"Police said the homeowner later fatally shot himself.

"It’s unclear what the altercation was about. A third person was at the home at the time of the shooting, but was not injured.

"The identities of the men have not been released.

"Investigators said they found several weapons at the scene.

"No other information was immediately available."
