Stalker Hid In Garage

"KENOSHA, WI - Police said a man killed his ex-girlfriend, then himself.

"The woman who was shot in the head on Saturday was identified as Alaina B. Caudhill, 26, police said.

"The Kenosha Police Department said they responded to 6304 11th Ave. at 3 a.m. Saturday, on a call about a woman who had just been shot. Officers found Caudhill unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the head. She was taken to Kenosha Hospital, where she died at 1:00 p.m. the same day.

"According to police, Caudill’s boyfriend, 28, dropped her off and walked her to her home when Caudill’s former boyfriend, Christopher G. Stuart, confronted them where he had been waiting in the garage.

"The police then said words were exchanged and Stuart pointed handgun at the boyfriend and threatened to kill him. The boyfriend fled on foot and eventually called the police. Stuart then shot Caudill and fled.

"Their investigation led officers to Stuart’s home. At about 10 a.m., the Kenosha County Tactical Response Team entered the house. They found Stuart dead in the bedroom, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. No one else was in the home.

"A .38-caliber handgun was found in the bedroom, and detectives found notes at the scene that seemed to support the former boyfriend’s decision to take his own life.

"Caudhill and Stuart’s relationship had ended in January 2010. Police said Stuart did not have a criminal record."
