Couple Had Been Dead Since Thursday

"GREENVILLE, SC — The deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were found Saturday was a murder-suicide, the Greenville County Coroner's Office said.

"Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office said the man and woman were found dead at about 3:30 p.m. a home on Arch Street.

"Deputies said a family member of the victims called 911 after visiting the home to check on the man and woman -- who had not been seen since Wednesday night.

"The coroner's office said the pair died from gunshot wounds to the head and had been dead since Thursday.

"Investigators said they are using fingerprints to identify the man and woman, but have not completed a positive identification."

  1. FWIW, I based placement on the murder/suicide map on a crime scene video from WSPA.com, with the help of Google Street View, as usual.

This is always the best way to get an address. Any TV station will report the "block of" address and then zoom in on the house number during the video. (Why don't they just say "... at 123 Main St..." instead of "... the 100 block of Main St..."? Must be a legal issue.)

It wasn't as easy as that with this one. I didn't get the exact address but I was able to place the crime scene because the TV station did a long telephoto shot of the neighbors watching the action, as they always do. Matching that with Street View, I pinpointed the general area.
