Three Kids Orphaned After Mobile Home Murder/Suicide

"FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Authorities in Spotsylvania County are investigating an apparent murder-suicide at a mobile home park.

"The sheriff's department says a deputy arrived Friday morning to find a man with a handgun in the doorway of a trailer standing over a woman's body. The man then shot himself in the head.

"A news release says 24-year-old Jolynn Norris was pronounced dead at the scene and her estranged husband, 35-year-old Scott Norris, was pronounced dead at a hospital.

"The couple had been separated. Jolynn Norris returned Friday to retrieve belongings when the couple got into a heated argument. An initial investigation shows Scott Norris then shot her.

"Their three children, ages 4, 2 and 11 months, have been turned over to social services workers and relatives have been notified."
