3 Dead, 1 Critical In Vegas Home

"LAS VEGAS, NV — Police in Las Vegas say three people have died and a fourth person was critically injured in an apparent shooting at a home on La Stromba St.

"Homicide Lt. Ray Steiber [said] that it appeared that the two men and two women were related and all four had been shot in what appeared to be a murder/suicide attempt. One man was injured.

"Police were summoned to the home Tuesday by a neighbor who reported hearing gunshots. Officers found the bodies inside the home.

"Steiber says he didn't believe there were outstanding suspects but the investigation is ongoing.

"A neighbor, Karen Javier, says a family of four, including two adult children, lives in the home. Javier's son, Andrew Newkirk, says he was the one who heard gunshots and called police."
