Suspect In Death Investigation Found Dead
"GREENVILLE, NC — Detectives with Greenville police and the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office are investigating what they believe to be a possible murder-suicide.
"In a press release from Greenville police, deputies with the Sheriff’s Office investigated what appeared to be a possible suicide from a gunshot wound to the head, reported shortly after 3 p.m. on Abott Farm Road in Pitt County. The victim in that case is said to be 48-year-old Clennie Carmon.
"Officials say deputies went to 209-B Alice Drive in Greenville to check on the welfare of Carmon’s reported girlfriend, Angentte Daniels, and did not get a response. Officers got a key from family members around 9 p.m. Sunday and found Daniels dead in the living room, according to the release.
"Investigators say the woman died a violent death.
"Greenville police have named Carmon as the suspect in the death investigation. While they noted Carmon died from a gunshot wound, police said it was not clear what killed Daniels. Police say it's possible Daniels may have died Saturday."
