Second Botched Murder/Suicide At Same Address
"WILMINGTON, DE — A woman was found dead and a man was left hurt in what New Castle County Police say appears to have been a murder-suicide attempt inside a suburban home Wednesday afternoon.
"In a strange twist, the home on the 200 block of Beau Tree Drive was also the location of a failed murder-suicide attempt in the fall of 2011.
"County Police arrived at the scene of the double shooting just after 4 p.m. They found a 50-year-old woman dead and a 31-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
"On Thursday, Tim Tabor identified the dead woman as his wife Suzette. He said that Suzette, 50, had befriended the homeowner, Nino Sciglitano, 31, becoming a surrogate mother-type to the man after Sciglitano's mother tried to kill his father in the same home.
"Police say that Donna Sciglitano shot her 59-year-old husband, also named Nino, before attempting to kill herself in September 2011. Donna Sciglitano, who police say had nothing to do with Wednesday's incident, is awaiting sentencing after pleading no contest to second-degree murder.
"Police said they weren't sure who the shooter was in Wednesday's incident. Nino Jr. was taken to the hospital in critical condition with a chest wound.
"Suzette Tabor and Nino Sciglitano Jr. were no strangers to police. The duo was arrested for crack cocaine possession at a hotel in May of last year."
