Couple Pronounced Dead At Scene

"GARDEN GROVE, CA — The bodies of a married couple were found in a Garden Grove home following an apparent murder-suicide Thursday.

"Police responded to the 15000 block of Sail Street around 4 a.m. regarding a `911 hang up call.`

"A relative of the couple then called the police department's business line saying his relative may have shot his wife and then himself.

"Responding officers found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

"Investigators say a 51-year-old man shot and killed his 39-year-old wife, and then turned the gun on himself. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

"Family members told police that the couple was having marital problems and considering a divorce.

"The couple had two children, ages 4 and 17. It remains unclear if the children were home at the time of the shooting."
