"CAPE CORAL, FL — The Cape Coral Police Department has identified the victim from Saturday night's shooting as 49-year-old Sally A. Young.

"Young was pronounced dead on scene after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds.

"The victim's husband, 49-year-old Michael G. Young, was transported from the scene on 2918 SW 1st Place with a critical injury from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He remains at Lee Memorial Hospital.

"The couple's child, a 9-year-old boy, was unharmed and is in the care of family members.

"`They just seemed like a normal family. Son was outside playing and dad would go boating on the weekends. Nothing seemed strange,` said Jennifer Lambert, a neighbor.

"A husband allegedly murdered his wife, after the two got into an argument."
