Decomposing Bodies Found In Florida Garage

"ORLANDO, FL — Orange County Sheriffs are conducting an investigation of three bodies found in an upscale area near Lake Nona.

"Authorities initially responded to a call to check the well-being of residents on the 10600 block of Mere Parkway in Eagle Creek, a gated golf course community. Upon arrival, they found decomposing bodies of a woman, man and child, who are believed to have died at least three weeks ago.

"Orange County Sheriff's spokesman Capt. Angelo Nieves says the incident is likely a murder/suicide. The 34-year-old woman and 50-year-old man were renters of the home.

"The age of the child who lived with the man and woman was not given, nor was the relationship between the decedents.

"The bodies did not show any sign of blunt-force trauma, and there were no signs of forced entry into the home.

"The remains will be sent to the medical examiner in order to make a positive identification.

"A property manager went to check on the residents Saturday, due to not seeing any signs of them in weeks. Upon arrival, he smelled a concerning odor and made the call to officials around 11 a.m."
