Man And Woman Declared Dead At Scene

"SACRAMENTO, CA — The couple involved in a deadly domestic dispute on Saturday in a Natomas neighborhood have been identified.

"According to the Sacramento County Coroner’s website, 35-year-old Alyssa N. Williams and 49-year-old Ronald R. Coursey, both of Sacramento, were the pair killed in the deadly shooting.

"According to Sacramento Police, officers responded to a home in the 100 block of Jade Tree Circle, just before 9 a.m. Saturday, after receiving a call regarding a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

"When officers arrived, they discovered a man and a woman, later identified as Williams and Coursey, inside the home with gunshot wounds. Fire crews from the Sacramento Fire Department arrived on scene and declared both subjects dead.

"Investigators determined that Coursey and Williams had been in a long term relationship that had ended recently.

"Coursey went to the house on Jade Tree Circle, where he and Williams had been living together, and entered the home. A short time later he fired multiple rounds at Williams before turning the gun on himself.

"According to police, five family members, including two children, were in the house at the time of the shooting. None of the five were injured.

"Sacramento Police Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators were called to the scene to assist with the investigation. Law Enforcement Chaplains also responded."
