Man Kills Elderly Mother, Self

"WELLSVILLE, PA — Police have released the names of the two people killed in a murder/suicide Thursday in Warrington Township, York County.

"Police said 57-year-old Donald Cassel, Jr. shot and killed his mother, 81-year-old Shirley Westheafer. Police said he then turned the gun on himself.

"Police said the shooting happened in a bedroom at a home on 25 Rocky Wood Lane around 2:20 p.m.

"Police said Cassel's wife was home and heard the shots and called police. All three lived in the house together.

"There's still no word on a possible motive.

"The woman who made the 911 call was not injured."
