Relative Finds Elderly Couple Dead
"WEYMOUTH, MA — The Norfolk County District Attorney's office is investigating an apparent murder/suicide that took place at a home in Weymouth Tuesday morning.
"Police responded to the home at 15 Dunbar Rd. at around 7:15 a.m., just after a family member who makes regular morning visits to the home arrived to find Elizabeth and Donald Coyne dead.
"Elizabeth, 81, and Donald, 83, suffered apparent gunshot wounds. Donald Coyne was found with a .25 caliber pistol that he owned at his side.
"While the crime scene investigation at the home has been completed, official results of an autopsy for both are still pending.
"The couple had lived in the house on Dunbar Road for several decades, and Weymouth police had no previous involvement with the family, according to a spokesman for the Norfolk County DA's office. The couple also had no known history of domestic violence, officials said."
