"Firefighters responded to the home the 60-year-old man shared with his mother for a medical call at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Marion Fiordelisi was found dead with her right wrist cut.
"Anthony Fiordelisi was alive but with both wrists cut.
"Authorities say he told officers that he tried to kill himself and because he did not want his mother to see him dead he wanted to make her `go to sleep.`
"It was not clear if Fiordelisi had a lawyer."
