Tumultuous Relationship Comes To Bloody End

"LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A divorce couple’s tumultuous relationship came to a bloody end Saturday when they were killed in what police are calling a murder-suicide in their Lawrenceville home.

"But it was unclear who did the shootings and why.

"About 7:30 a.m., officers received a call about a domestic dispute and responded to 211 Ashland Creek Court, Gwinnett County police said.

"`When officers arrived on scene, they located two victims with gunshot wounds, one male and one female,` police spokeswoman Cpl. Jennifer Roberts said. `It appeared to be a murder-suicide. Both victims were deceased.`

"Investigators said the man, 50, and woman, 37, was a divorced couple who was still sharing the same home with their three children, 10, 15 and 17.

"It was unclear if the children witnessed the shooting.

"There is a history of domestic violence calls at the location, Cpl. Roberts said. But she did not say who made those calls. It was also unclear who called police that morning."
