Bodies Found In Street, Car

"WOODBRDIGE, NJ — Police are investigating a shooting in which a Brooklyn man apparently shot and killed his former companion, and then killed himself, Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Robert Hubner, director of the Woodbridge Police Department, announced today.

"Stephanie Barrios, 29, of 205 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Woodbridge, was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 18. She apparently was fatally shot while sitting in a car parked outside a house where she was residing.

"Also pronounced dead at the scene was her former companion, Luis Rosado, 46, of Brooklyn, N.Y. He apparently died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

"A preliminary investigation has classified the deaths as a murder/suicide, but the final determination awaits the results of autopsies that will be performed by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office. The results were not immediately available.

"The investigation by Detective Dean Janowski of the Woodbridge Police Department and Investigator Gregory Morris of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that Rosado shot and killed Barrios before shooting himself. Two handguns were recovered from the scene.

"Police arrived to find Barrios had been shot inside a 2007 Mercedes that was parked in front of the home where she had been living with relatives.

"Rosado, who owned the vehicle, was found in the street near the parked car."

  1. I knew him, he was a beautiful person. Always courteous, seemed stable and down to earth. What the girlfriend did to him must have been enough to set him off. I'll never understand people.

    1. So why did he leave a son behind while taking his sons mother in the process ? If he was such a beautiful person please tell me what he did for a living. This was an obsessed man who couldn't accept the fact that she did not want him anymore.

  3. Seeming like something and being something are two very different things. To take another persons life regardless of whatever situation your in is a sign of mental instability. I sane person does not murder.
