Family Member Finds Elderly Pair Dead
"CAMPBELL, CA — An elderly couple died from gunshot wounds Saturday afternoon in what police are investigating as a likely murder-suicide, according to Campbell police.
"A 92-year-old woman and her 89-year-old husband were found dead in their Union Avenue apartment on Saturday afternoon, Campbell police spokesman Dave Carmichael said. The two were discovered in their apartment about 2:30 p.m. by a family member, who then called police to the scene.
"Family was arriving at the scene in the aftermath of the incident, and police were not yet releasing the identity of the victims, who lived at the Commons apartment complex at 245 Union Ave.
"Carmichael said police believe it was a murder/suicide.
"`Right now it appears that is the case,` he said."
