"Unfortunate Domestic Occurrence" Leaves 2 Dead

"INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Indianapolis police say two people found dead of apparent gunshot wounds on the west side Sunday night were likely killed in a murder/suicide.

"Police responded to a report of a person shot just before 9 p.m. Sunday night on the 1000 block of Waldemere Ave. Upon arrival, officials said they found two people deceased with apparent gunshot wounds.

"Investigators said they believe the deaths to be the result of an `unfortunate domestic occurrence.`

"Police said no children were at home at the time of the shooting.

"The names of the victims have not been released."
